Best Nutrients for outside

I ve used Nectar of the gods for years then just went to compost teas and other nutrients . I see all these nutrients out there that promise bigger yields and healthier plants ect. I m interested in what others use and have to say about their own nutrient programs. Has anyone used the Humbolt A& B secret nutrients? I was interested in their stuff or fox farms. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Most salt based synthetic nutrients targeted at cannabis growers are way overpriced. With liquid bottle salt nutes, you're also paying for the logistic cost of transporting water.

The brands purchase the salts from chemical manufacturers and relabel them. Probably same salts from same manufacturers in a lot of the fancy overpriced nutrients that are in miracle gro.

If you want to keep the price down, Jack's or Master Blend will do just fine. Use Calcium Nitrate and Magnesium Sulfate to supplement Cal and Mag. There is a lot of info online about using those for cannabis.

For convenience, I use GH MaxiGro/MaxiBloom one-part dry nutes as base. I supplement with BluePlanet EasyWeed soluble kelp, WOW soluble humic/fulvic, pH down with bulk ascorbic acid, Botanicare CalMag+.

Put dry parts in 5 gal bucket. Fill halfway with water Mix with mixer attachment on high speed drill. Add CalMag. Add water to 5gal while mixing. Then water it in on plants.

My plants seem to like it....

Im up on the North East so I m not sure I can get my plants any where near those ones in your pictures. I ll definitely try everything you mentioned. The top pic is 2021 outdoor. There are 3 plants in the picture, all clones from a plant in my 2020 outdoor Motherlode Kush from Sannie. They are spread out on and supported by trellis and garden poles.

The middle pic is 2022 outdoor. You can see 6 plants in the picture. They are spread out and supported by 2 layers of trellis on a bamboo frame.

The bottom pic is my current 2023 outdoor. There are 4 plants. From right....

Volunteer plant that was growing vigorously and showed female pistils early. Based on where it popped up, it is most likely a Bones OG seed made in 2022 outdoor.

Bones OG = (True OG x Black Domina) x Goji OG

for me its a matter of keeping it natural as i can, the simple fact is 100% organic soil grown is the best. , to me it seems like everyone is caught up in the recreational and farm need to produce more product. the plants above are nice that's what old school weed looked like , 8-9 month cycle you get 6 months of veg, and hence the size, what i admire most is the dedication to his plants growing 9 month s is hard out side if its not a legalized grow state, so kudos . as far as nutrients go i stick to preparing my soil with as little salt based product as possible , i cycle my soil thru sweet potato's after each crop and most importantly never ever let my macrozones die with dry soil. i try tp grow my soil and let theplants benifit . from what i have seen many people many ways no one can claim best, cause if it works for you thats the best feeling

Well said . I ve used all sorts of nutrients , General Hydroponic which I liked, Nectar from the gods shit even just miracle grow when I was younger .lol I like his idea above and saving money is also a good thing. I m gonna try implementing what tracker mentioned with some other stuff. Hopefully I ll get it dialed in fast . I started using compost teas and natural stuff and it also works well. It s amazing the stuff out there now .I wonder what these company's make for $ just off nutrient sales for cannabis, I ll bet the numbers extremely high, especially with so many places going legal. It sucks now because it used to be about creating a good product to help create better bud. Now its all about profits and the bottom line. I guess thats what eventually happens with everything.

Once they show signs of needing nutes (usually N deficiency on lower growth) I start supplementing at about 50% of the recommended dosage. I don't push them too hard with nutes. I do my veggie garden the same way.

man im jealous about your temps, down here its either 97 or 85 to be honest i use roots soil the dirt down here is mostly lime based iron rich clay its a non volcanic island. i start there and add blood meal and bone meal, let it sit for a month then grow in that, like i said i water my pots with or with out plants so its grow one then 6 months of sweetpotaos ( they produce an enzyme the mirocozones love ) and there readdy to go a touch more blood meal and bone meal ch the ph and thats it. if i need mag i use banana, if i need iron an old machete stuck in the pot, copper a penny zinc a nickel, my tea is just drippings from the mulch pot mixed with water. i do hst and lst but dont clone or stretch im not after quantity ( but its a by product ) just like growing the plant making my own medicine. much respect to you tracker you sound like you make the most of your out door grow season. and its evident you grow clean landrace thats getting harder and harder to do . respect

This is great.. I just ordered the master Blend combo kit with Calcium and Magnesium . Excited to give it ago.. I appreciate all the advice and tips. All of you guys are great . I ll keep u posted on my results ..

There are not landrace varieties in thise pics. They are all bred out and hybridized. I have some landrace beans in the stash, but I havent grown landraces in a few years.

im referring to the lack of ruderals in your seed stock, prevalent in most popular seed sites today. lest ways that my theory we have gone from almost all 7-9 month cycle plants to 3-4 month cycles, now that's not just crossing two strains its the influence of the third strain, i cant tell the difference between auto flower and feminized to much anymore. i use the word land race because i dont know what else to call 7-9 month cycle plants hybrid or not. weird right. any way im focusing on thai based hybrids these days, because i have to stay under federal radar i keep my size down and induce flower at about 22 inches and wind up in the 40" at harvest. sucks to loose your product to the dea and there hilcopter

Pretty sad that in 2023 you still have to worry about DEA for growing medicine. They should be more worried about the fentynal thats easilly flowing threw the border at a historical rate. It makes me sick they waste so much money on honest people growing.

Keep at it. You will find something that works for your soil. I use pelletized chicken manure for all stages of growth 5-4-3, fish emulsion for veg, bone meal added at veg to decompose in time for flower, hydrated lime to keep the ph down from fish and chix poop, tap water that declorinates for 24 hours before use, which supplies calcium, and add epson salt for magnesium. If I see deficiencies, which I normally don’t I will use 1/2 strength hydro salt based fert. Good growing. For me it’s not quantity it quality. I don’t push them and yield a bumper crop because they don’t suffer from over fertilization. I think too many ppl push it and then they have fert issues which are more difficult to deal with than under fertilizing. JMO

I totally agree with what you say saint croix paul maintaining 100% organic farming is real business that maintains sustainability and also health for all.

I have done very well growing that way in fact in flowering I have been using bat guano tea, then I alternate with potassium humate and banana tea and the plants show the appreciation as well as being high quality cannabis, like old school it is like doing a retrospective, this whole subject is very interesting.
