Agreed, I've only taken clones from "Mother plants" and leave the sexing for seeds. I do get the idea of taking cuts and sexing them to determine sex of the vegging parent but have never done it that way. The Critical Amnesia I'm currently growing is a clone from one I grew earlier this year. I gave a few cuts to my buddy, he vegged them outside and gave me one back a few months later when they started to flower. My indoor donor was just finished at that point. He has several going and recently brought them inside to finish. Big gnarly buds! My biggest drawback has been not vegging my clones long enough indoors before flipping so my yields have always been smaller. I've also read clones do not yield as much or grow as vigorous as growing from seed does. It seems if done properly it can be very productive though.if you take a clone from a female your clone will be female
There is an easy way to sex your seeds before planting. It’s not 100% accurate but about 75-85%.
On the seed there is a pointy end and a blunt end. On the blunt end should be a divot.
If the divot is circular, you most likely have a female (example in picture provided). If it’s misshapen or very jagged looking, it’s most likely a male.
Haven’t had it let me down yet, must just be lucky then. 300+ mother plants planted, at least 5000 clones made, only 2 males so far. Must have stepped on a leprechaun. While this advice is no doubt well intentioned, it has absolutely no scientific basis. Your success rate identifying sex using this method will pretty much match the natural female/male ratio and you will throw out half of your perfectly good females and grow out half of the males.
Noobs: Please don't buy into this myth.

Sounds good to me, quick question for you. How many plants can you fit in a 5 gallon bucket? 1?2?3? Fully grown.Ahhh... the voice of confidence; I'm all over this opportunity. Tell you what, I'll send you 20 seeds, you parse out the males from the females using your magical power, and send them back. I, or some impartial party, grows them out to check your accuracy. If you are 80% or better, I'll send you $100. If not, you've wasted my time and owe me $50.
How sure are you?

Day 1 in flower, need to clean them up in the next day or so. Hindu Kush and forbidden fruit x ChemdawgI can get 160-182 geez off of a 5 gallon bucket in 3.25-3.5 months. That’s from when clone shows the bare minimum (swelling + bumps) to harvest. Can you get a clone in a 5 gallon bucket to output that much in that amount of time? I’m really not being cynical, I’m trying to see if that’s a possibility? @Varinaut
I have been using this method myself fo 3 0r 4 years and have had 98% effect it is called the Volcano SystemThere is an easy way to sex your seeds before planting. It’s not 100% accurate but about 75-85%.

This makes no sense. Your flowers lose weight, not gain it during the dry and cure. Dividing by 10 doesn't work either. There's a bigger loss of water weight than that.Did you know you can cut your plant down, at the bottom of the stock, weight it as is, then multiply by 10% to figure out your final weight ( roughly) can be upwards of 15% as a multiplication factor if you have a dense cola ridden plant.
If you clean it up prior to weighing it the 10% factor would be off10% returns on your plant is still off. Properly dried and cured weed will weigh from 17-25% of the original "wet" weight.
