Wanted to start a thread where some of us newbies can go for ideas, tips and knowledge from you veterans on proper setups from seed to harvest. Necessities, materials, costs etc… Hopefully this thread will help and become a popular hotspot for aspiring pot farmers whether it be in a greenhouse, your closet, the basement or some buckets on your back deck.

Great idea! I like to see what others are doing. I only have my own experiences for references. Been doing this a long time by myself outdoors. I keep thing simple and primitive. Start in side under lights until threat of frost is over. Keep them in 2.5 gallon containers so I can move them for better sun or shade, or even more importantly from the storms wrath. Once I hit the Summer blast and preflower, I go straight into organic mix soil in ground, mulch and give them room to spread out. Nothing fancy.

I wanted to put them in the ground but the fear of storms made me decide not to. Once they are in the ground they don’t move. I need to build a cheap greenhouse.

I like picture 10 the best. Put a strand of lights and a few bulbs on that thing. Christmas in August!

Once they are in the ground it’s final. This is one of my smaller buds from my last plant of the season. A microburst knocked it off yesterday from hail or wind. Trichomes are just starting to go from cloudy to brown. She’s going to the tomb this weekend before the next round of storms are scheduled. It’s been some crazy weather the past two years of growing. The challenges are a learning experience, but the rewards have been worth ever effort.

It’s been a crap shoot this year for me being a newbie but all things considered I’ve learned so much. This being a mystery seed and not knowing proper info on the strain left me guessing at every obstacle. No control other then feeding and watering. Mother Nature did most of it herself.

I’ll have some fresh pics for this thread Saturday night. Currently doing a cleaning in the main flower/veg rooms.

I mainly run DWCs for production and soils for breeding.

DWCs: 5 gallon single plant setups for mothers

17 gallon 8 plant setup for clones. Not always setup full (6 for indicas and 8 for sativas)

Soils: reuse my old soils and amend them for what the plant needs for start.
