Hey everyone I'm starting my first grow I just had a couple questions I ordered a Plant lamp 120 three chips, 1200 watts (10 watts per three chips), make this lamp brighter and more efficient than the two-chip or single-chip lamp.VEG & BLOom
  1. Morsen Newest 1200w Led Plant Grow Light, with Daisy Chain, Full Spectrum Double Switch Greenhouse Plant Light for Indoor Plants Veg and Flower
I also ordered 6 ,3 gallon pots and foxfarm soil happy frog and ocean forest so can I do a 2 to 1 foxfarm to regular topsoil?,I ordered 6 cream caramel auto feminized seeds should I grow. just 4 or grow all 6? Also I've read that cause I'm using foxfarm I dont need to add notes for a while how long is that?

Welcome to FC @Patriots781 :)
can I do a 2 to 1 foxfarm to regular topsoil

I'd avoid mixing regular top soil as it may contain bugs, you'd be better off using a decent organic potting compost instead and adding in some vermiculite and perlite to improve drainage.

Also I've read that cause I'm using foxfarm I dont need to add notes for a while how long is that?
With autos you could probably get all the way through your first run without adding any nutrients. While you're at the soil mixing stage you might want to add some dolomite lime, fish blood and bone meal, kelp meal and mycorrhizae. That way you can avoid having to buy bottled nutrients and only have to add water through the entire cycle. Good luck and keep us posted!

So I only had soil for 6 2 gallon pots,id rather have less vood dirt then more dirt that could have bugs or anything non organic,so I'm gonna do 3 pots fox farm frog and 3 pots ocean forest, my question is how far should my 1200 watt led be from my seedlings which I already germinated and planted, abd should I keep not veg and bloom on because it's auto or should I still do veg and then bloom cause I thought I read you could keep both veg and bloom which is red on 24hrs ?

my 1200 watt
2 foot distance should be okay, do you know the actual/real wattage of the unit?

500ml a time should be fine.

Use a 20on 4off or 22/2 light cycle to prolong the life of your light.

Any pics of your girls?

And how often? I thought everyday or maybe I started off wrong because I didn't completely really wet the pots too much

The specs don't show the actual wattage, got a link to where you got the light from?

When they are small once a week maybe less, don't over wet the pots, rewater when they're starting to dry out a bit. The danger is overwatering, it's rare for a new grower to underwater.

Looks like a pretty decent light for the price, but Im no light expert. I paid more than double for one similar and have had pretty good results for a beginner.

Using tips
?Lighting Time setup: Vegetative Stage: 12-14 hours on; Flowering Stage: 9-12 hours on. Fruiting Stage: 7- 8 hours on.

?【WIDE COVERAGE】The 1200W LED grow light core coverage area is 58x58"(4.9x4.9ft). Maximum coverage area is 70"x70"(5.9x5.9ft). We recommend running the lights 15-18 hours per day during the germination and early leaf stages at a height of between 18"-24" and 12-14 hours per day during the flowering and fruiting stages at a height of between 24-32." We suggest both the VEG and BLOOM switches be turned ON during the flowering and fruiting stages of the plants' growth.

28" should be fine at this stage.

There's a veg and a bloom switch I've heard of people keeping both swittches on tje whole time, ive only had veg on what do you guys think?

I'd be inclined to put both switches on at that distance assuming temps won't be adversely affected. Good luck!

Soil mix looks good! Let them dry out for a good few days before you rewater to let the roots search out the moisture. Thanks for the updates :)
