Hello guys, so i went to the store to buy distilled water, but all they had was demineralized water... they said it’s the same thing as distilled.
is it the same thing, can I still use it to germinate my seeds ?

I heard demineralized water has like no mineral, the tap water here is bad, it turns cloudy from one day sitting out,

Should I mix like a cap full of battled mineral water to a cup of demineralized water so it at least has a low quantity of mineral idk.

As their is USA and if I do find something good it’s lot more expensive

What the hell well that's unfair Amazon should be the same world wide and same prices I research lights constantly. Vipraspectra has inexpensive lights on amazon and I've seen them in action. Let me search a bit maybe I can find you something. As for the home led lights they do grow plant but is you don't have the right super intense light and spectrum and a lot of them the buds won't be as dense as you would like them to be but if you are on a real tight budget they do work. Sunshine picked a good set up to start out with for the money

I've tested 300 watt LEDs and have have great results if it's a real small grow from 2 to 4 small plants I've harvested about 4 to 5 oz. Typically a 300 watt light will draw between 120 to 175 true watts that the actually power consumption and that's what you base your yield off is the true watts not what they say the light is. You want to strive close to a gram per watt. So a 300watt light that draws 120true watts at a gram per watt that around 4oz of awesome bud. And I must say genetics has a huge part in that also and growers skill. I've seen new growers take some great advice and knock it out of the park.

Hey sunshine, are you sure regular household LED lights can grow cannabis? I want to make sure before I go an buy them.I looked online some say u can some says regular household led light cannot be used for growing.
Yes, they are also extremely efficient and reliable, this is an example of results from a similar setup (not mine)
The problem with some of the led's on amazon/ebay etc are that the actual wattage is inaccurate in many cases.
If you are going the premade unit route, do buy a brand like vipar/mars, the ones that look (too) cheap and claim decent actual wattages should be viewed with a degree of caution.

Having said that, it's still worth noting that a Mars 300w = 4377 lumens for $70 that's twice the money for less than half the lumens.

My next light will be a frame with screw in off the shelf leds, mixed spectrum. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Thx

I’m having trouble germinating this seed

Paper towel method

I kept in a dark place
Temps around 75-76F

The seed was really smal at first then it got fatter
But still no signs of cracking. After 48 hours
😒 all I want is a nice long root and for it to sprout, I still have two more seeds
By paradise seeds auto flower
Should I try to put it in soil or wait one more day.

Ok how I germinate usually I can pop a seed and have it in dirt and an inch out of the ground in 72 or under some can be stubborn, shy and don't want to cooperate. Lol
Step1.
I always used distilled water and the real only reason I do is that if a seed takes forever to pop it's less likely to mold out. So I take a cup and add a few inches of water and them pour the seeds in. I usually do this right before I go to bed and when I wake up I put them in the paper towels. And the reason I soak them for 8 to 12 hours really no longer than that is because sometimes you really don't know how old those seeds are. This let's them soak up the water pretty fast.
Step 2.
This is the key part it's all about the warmth. So a dark place they need to be and this may sound weird but I put them in the oven cause it's dark and holds temperatures very well. And then I turn on the oven no joke but only for about 30 seconds just enough time to warm it up. I'll start the oven with the door open and keep my hand inside till I feel that it is warmer than outside of the oven as soon as I do I shut the oven off and shut the door. And then I'll go to work really fresh seed will pop when I check them when I get home. Important to shut off stove or ya could cook your seeds or burn your house down. They make heating pads for seed germination don't ever buy one they are junk I've seen so many people cook there seeds on those. No need for fancy stuff here. So when I come home I'll check them and repeat the warming process. Next morning something. By this time by if you have popped seed guarantee you'll be able to put them in soil when ya get home from work. Now you don't have to use your oven the key thing is the warmth and then back to room temp warmth then back to room temp. Cause even say the room you have the seeds in is at 75 degrees the water its sitting in will be cooler. Definitely not saying other ways don't work this just works best for me I don't ever have a problem popping seed and if I can pop it then it was a dead seed or just way to old. I have had seeds take up to 2 weeks ya almost give up and bam there she is but if it does take that long they can mold up on ya I've seen that to. If anyone else has some cool methods would love to hear.

Thx for the recommendation

I’ll be trying that, I will make sure the paper towel doesn’t get to warm, my seed looks bigger and bigger, maybe it’s just my eyes or it’s getting ready to burst 🤙🏽

Nd don’t worry about it lol I understood evrything.
