Is a diluted ruderalis gene bad overall to have bred into our sativa mixes?

Growers, strain breeders, and ganjapreneurs—step into a welcoming environment built for connection and collaboration in the cannabis world.
That's why you only work with, what you consider, the best flowers. When making an auto line, depending on your breeding habits, you'll need 3-4 generations to get a harvest of full autos. If you're just trying to shorten flowering time, I'd use a known stable auto rather than a pure ruderalis. Those first crossings to ruderalis is how autos got their reputation for being small very low quality plants. I know a couple growers that absolutely refuse autos, but they've come a LONG way from those weak little things. Is a diluted ruderalis gene bad overall to have bred into our sativa mixes?
I have a few of my own crosses I deal with mostly.Pros and cons. Pros potential for faster finish. Cons potential for lower quality flower.
Which sativa's are you jamming with?
It all really depends on the characteristics that you are looking for in your grow! Some growers love the autoflowering convenience, while other growers prefer the more traditional photoperiod plants for higher yields and more intense effects. Is a diluted ruderalis gene bad overall to have bred into our sativa mixes?
Breeding in ruderalis genes can have both ups and downs. They can help plants flower faster and be tougher, which is great for growing outside. But they might also take away some of the nice flavors and strength that sativas are known for. So, it really comes down to what you're looking for in your plants. Is a diluted ruderalis gene bad overall to have bred into our sativa mixes?
A diluted ruderalis gene in a sativa mix isn't necessarily bad, but it can change how the plant grows and the effects it has. Since ruderalis makes plants auto-flower, it could mess with the flowering time and potency. If you're aiming for quicker harvests, it could be helpful, but if you're after strong sativa effects, it might not be what you're looking for.Is a diluted ruderalis gene bad overall to have bred into our sativa mixes?
