Regarding smell

So my girl is definitely still in the vegetative state, but every day she has more crystals, and specifically a stronger and stronger smell. The old timey grower who gave it to me came for a visit today and said I was taking immaculate care of her (he's just an old sweetie) and he had a sniff, and continued to insist that it'll be top quality until he left...

Is the smell really any indicator of quality, as long as nothing detrimental happens? You can smell skunky/minty from a few feet away outside and I didn't think any plants smelled until they started flowering.

Some develop crystals earlier than others, I'm sure she'll be an absolute ripper
The ones with the very strong aromas tend to translate into strong flavours when smoked too!

I think I do too, the smell reminds me allot of wild mint crushed up
