Just 4 little budget babies. Wanted to make sure I could keep something alive before I popped some real genetics and these 4 (among others) are giving me the confidence needed to pop some of these "good ones".
As you can see one has what looks like a genetic mutation. The first set of true leaves came out looking just like this. No trauma or burning or anything has happened to this plant. Any ideas? Also the white streaks on one or two leaves appear to be leaf miners or any idea?
Just trying to get the hang of this. These are some where around 3 weeks old and don't have long until they will be going out side the green house.

Good Job! Those seedlings are glowing with satisfaction.

The stems probably ought to be buried up to the first set of true leaves next time you pot them, to better support the increasing weight of their branches. Otherwise looking exquisite!

And don't worry about going too deep; she will push roots all along the stem and really grab hold.
Thank you for the advice. I did absolutely plant these not only to soon, but to shallow as well. I could of and probably should of let it go in the jiffy alone much longer. Here's the larger of the 4. Just approaching the 30 day mark I think.

She's a photo so unfortunately will not start flowering until the fall. May not even be a she. But we can hope. As for the size I'm quite proud of it lol but I'm new to this so I understand and appreciate the criticism.

🤠most all of my plants turn around every 4 months i grow 8 plants at a time 3 times a year at the rate you are stating you would be lucky 2 grows a year if your plant cant grow from seed to harvest in 4 months i am sorry something is wrong even being a beginner grower somewhere you are holding back your plants growth . :mask:

Not saying your wrong. Any ideas what it could be? I don't think I can manage 2 crops a year out doors here. Gets pretty cold in the winter. Also unsure of the exact age. In my original post I stated they were about 3 weeks old, so they are closer to 3 weeks than they are 4. But if you have any tips for speeding things along I'm all ears.
If I was growing autos I could see getting 2 maybe even 3 crops a year. But ideally these are going to be 6 to 8 feet tall in their final homes, we won't reach full 14hrs of sunlight for about another 2 weeks atleast.

It's just the amount of light absorbed. That's exactly it. My tomato seedlings are close to a month old but to an indoor grower who runs his light 18+ hrs/day they appear 2 weeks at most. But they've spent their entire life outside and in the shade so far. A race, it is not. So long as we have progress.

Thank you! This is very reassuring. I've still got a ton of season left and those 4 are just the ones I felt worth photographing. There are many, many siblings coming right behind them. I will keep FC updated!

Mine are way smaller for my outdoor grow. No rush it's still dropping in the 30s and 40s at night in michigan.

Thanks cola. Your right about the jiffy. Fortunately it doesn't seem they have any issue getting through. These have siblings and I tried many different methods across the board. Just how the cookie crumbled on these 4.
