Question usable seeds?

I have a couple of questions. First was there another plant to pollinate and was it hermied too? Second what were the growing conditions? Inside in controlled environment or outside? Most genetic defects are stress related from heat or drastic climate changes, some are just from genetic traits from all the cross breeding. I grow outside always and push my last plant to it’s limits to force it to produce a banana or two and self pollinate. Then I will clip that certain bud or buds to save the rest of the plant and collect the seeds after curing. I have done this for years, and it works well. My current grow is half new strains and half seeds from last year, no issues. I find some auto varieties just can’t handle the heat in late Summer and go all genetic crazy and become shit. My landrace photos never an issue. In my experience topping and LST doesn’t create enough stress to effect the genetics as long as you know when to stop and let her heal and blossom.
my 1st grow was the 2 BD autos ( 1 hermie, 1 harvested too early) indoors in a light proof tent with "burple"lights and controlled RH & temp.

Just a recommendation. Get rid of the blurple or use as a supplement light. What breeder is the seeds that your getting hermie. Hermie is also brought on by stress to the plant an in the flower stage.

I was wondering about which breeder he is using too. Sorry I can’t help on indoor growing because I’ve never done it. I would listen to those who have.

The other Blue Dream auto did hermie rather early in the flower stage from what i believe was too much LST/trimming and "shim" was root bound in a 2 gal pot for 2 weeks. I have been a lot nicer to the 2nd grow and upgraded lights and buckets to accommodate the girls better.

I popped about 20 of the seeds into some water to start germination and see what happens from there. (I'll post any growth from the hermie seeds).
Did they pop? 😃

thank you , i have upgraded to a ful spectrum type of lights for flower tent, still have the "blurple" on the veg side for now until i can afford more full spectrum ($350+ per light iskinda hefty).

yeah I dropped 'em and they just sat there in the glass, a few sank the first 24hrs the rest after 48 and there was a membrane around 'em (if you ever soaked chia seeds it looked like that) so i put 'em in a damp paper towel and ziplock. think im gonna try somemore seeds with a few different methods...any other ways yall have germinated?

I only soak 12 to 24 hours. Over that you will over saturate the seed. You have to you have to poke the seed after a few hours to sink. Then I stick in a jiffy pot on a germination heating pad. Or you can just put seeds on a folded paper towel a few plies thick get nice and wet and Put seeds in between the fold put in a zip lock and if don't have germ mat find a dark warm location that maintains 75 to 80 degrees. Check 24 hours later to see if tap root popping out. If not wait longer. Some seeds can take a couple days and some just won't pop. After a tap root shows be careful and pick up with tweezers and gently put in jiffy pot or your soil. Cover very lightly.
