Question What are my flowers?

Is there anything I can do with them or are they pretty much just no good. Well other than pretty to look at
This is definitely a male, and if you are growing alongside females, then your female buds will have seeds, and just like in the good 'ole days, you will be separating the seed from the grass on an album cover. The male plant (seeds and all) can be processed into extracts for topical use, and CBD oils for ingestion, but with very little THC content not worth trying to smoke. A good rule of thumb when trying to identify plant gender is to remember that both genders' 'flower pods' look similar at first, but Females have noticeable 'Legs' that pop out, while males remain as noticeable 'Ball' pairs. If the flower pod that you first spot does not open and bear two white 'legs', its likely a male and should be taken down immediately to avoid pollinating your female flower buds. I started with two plants this year, but one of them turned out to be male and was cut down. My female is growing very well.

Yes I’m going to have to pay better attention next year! Thank you for all the info . I didn’t realize that if they had seeds that the thc would be very low so thanks for that

It won't be "very low" it just won't be as good as it could have been. Still worth picking out the seeds and stems to smoke the rest, getting a taste of that Ole skool.

Don't get me wrong, your females (if you have any) will be useable smoke, but it will be seedy is all, and slightly less potent, but joheim is right, that's the way it used to be before we started to grow sensemilla (Spanish for without seeds). MALES have low THC. So what we want, is to remove the males before they pollinate the ladies, and you get sensemilla buds. Good Luck next year!

By the way, and ironically enough, my plants for the last 2 seasons have been from commercial Candystand Sativa buds. I found about 6 seeds in an ounce that have produced 3 females and one male of the four seeds germinated thus far. Only 2 of the seeds looked viable, that is, the color pattern was strong and brownish while the others are smaller and appear underdeveloped and greenish. Somehow even a female plant can spontaneously develop a mutant seed or two, much to our delight! I have also read that sunlight patterns in the early stages of growth can influence the gender, to some degree. This may have been the case with the male that I had this year as both plants went through an interesting start at life. I had germinated about two weeks earlier than I should have and in fact, one plant started to flower in the window, with only four sets of branches. I immediately put outside even though it was too cold at night, and for a week I brought it in at night. The sudden exposure to longer hours of light stopped the flowering and they exploded with veg. This change is actually visible in the trunk after I harvested 3 days ago with four huge bottom branches and an odd twist in the trunk because it was soo long and skinnny and week when it was a seedling, that I needed to prop it up with some sticks. Above the twist and the large branches are branches that appear to have grown normally. This plant seemed to have almost freakish sized branches and buds in comparison to my plants last year which were childsplay compared to the beauty I grew this year.
