Question Anyone have any tips for growing Gelato??

Hello guys,
I just picked up 3 gelato #33 clones to add to my garden and was trying to find some info online about growing this strain and there doesnt seem to be anything but reviews about the flower. I was hoping someone else has grown this strain and can share any info and please confirm that it is supposed to be a heavy feeder with a late flowering time. I really appreciate the help!!:bigjoint:

I grew Gelato. Outside. I used 15 gallon fabric pots, fox farm nuts, a good soil. The plant finished November in michigan and it was a tough finish beating the cold fall nights and a couple of frosts. The plants reached 7.5 feet tall and the yield was huge. Plants on left are Gelato and Bruce banner in July.

Feeding can be different with every plant. Some might be heavy drinkers and some not. You'll know once growing what is going to want.

Although it's logical that anyone would want to include this plant in their home garden, you should be aware that she's a bit of a handful. Gelato #33 is extremely sensitive to temperature changes, and it's even recommended that you use a grow tent when cultivating indoors. Expect a pungent odor to fill the air as she grows, and in 8 to 9 weeks you can expect a yield that's decent but not quite worth writing home about.

Gelato did fine fir me. 24 ounces on 1 plant and it handled michigan weather in the fall. The only time it got upset a little was in late fall just before harvest it got 2 frost but it made it just fine. It likes warm and humid.

Oh I should mention. If growing in 15 to 20 gallon pot outside the plant will be huge and the buds are fat and huge which can cause bud rot. Once buds start getting huge watch out and protect from rain.

That's dry weight. I yielded over 7 pounds on 5 plants. But it was a shared grow with my cousin but still banked almost 4 pounds myself.

I will be happy when they might legal cannabis here in Texas so i can grow outside like your pictures. great shots

For sure. If the weather is being good you can get some killer yields come harvest. I'm doing auto and photo this season again. Can get 2 auto harvest waiting for the photos come fall.

The Gelato strain is not easy to grow either but growers can be successful growing this indoors and outdoors but the monitoring process needs to be a committed endeavor. One that uses proper techniques to cultivate and monitor the plants into full maturity.
