Yes, it's absolutely imperative I get the best possible germination from them as they're no longer being sold or produced for over a decade. This could very well be one of the last unopened breeders packs from the legendary Breeder Steve/SOL.
This isn't my first grow with the strain as I bought 2 packs at the time as well as their sweet tooth and adventure mix, truly some of the very best seeds I have ever had the pleasure to grow and smoke.
Needless to say I'll be making lots of F2s and pheno hunting to see if any SPG phenos show also taking cuts from all/any fems to really drill down into it and have them ready for bx'g.

Exciting stuff! I hope you can pull some good phenos out. I'd be very tempted to force self pollination to keep it pure but I suppose that doesn't help the stability/gene pool.

One thing I would say about doing a fixed scrog like this is they should make double sided tents so it has a zip both at the front and back and can then be accessed from both sides. I'd buy one.
I'll probably go back to modular scrogging on the next screen run ie 4 individual scrogs attached to the buckets that can be taken out, tended and replaced so each plant can be trained, rotated and pruned 100% effectively and all sides accessed.

I'd buy one too. Every time i need to water i think about that. Its easier now that the boy is gone.

Major Update
I've had to take the grow and screen down for the last few days for security, this was unforseen and has thrown a major spanner in the works :/
The plants have been hard pruned to allow them to be stowed away, meaning several lost weeks of vegging/screen weaving :sob:
Thankfully I'm in no major rush this round or I'd be tearing my hair out!
For this reason and to try and recoup some lost time I think I'm going to get the redundant 2 buckets back in the mix with some of the new, soon to be arriving, seeds along with the pruned back stocks from the aborted screen as soon as I'm able to get the grow resurrected (hopefully Friday afternoon).
I'll start a new grow thread when things are back up and running. I'll console myself in the meantime by perusing my extensive seed vault and mulling over strains/crosses for the next few harvests.
Thanks everyone who followed along! New grow thread coming soon.... :sun:

Sorry to hear that @Sunshine i was looking forward to see how they did after the flip. Security comes first though no doubt. I keep seeing stuff about Barneys farm i think it is? People go bonkers for that stuff have you got any of those in the vault? I'll be watching for your new thread!

Funny you should say that! I literally just ordered Barneys Farms Top Dawg (Mexican Sativa x Afghani Indica Kush) and Red Dragon (Brazilian Sativa x Pakistani Kush) from StrainSupermarket.com the day before yesterday, should arrive tmrw :)
I'm really looking forward to the Top Dawg, I love a mexican sativa, it's also one of their cheapest strains too which is suprising as it has credible provenance unlike so many of the randomly named inbred hybrids.

Mexican weed holds a special place in my heart. I can't say i love supporting the cartel but they're gonna do what they do whether or not i smoke. I was trying to get some tonight for the first time in a year but nothing is ever easy :joy:
