My First Grow

The babies are still growing. I've rearranged the plants, you'll see this upcoming friday the progress, that they'll have made. I put Danni and left Courtney in the back since their the two tallest ones so they can utilize the 1000 Watts more efficiently since it's at the top of the tent. Their both about 28" away from the light now. I'm planning on keeping the light where it is, I think they will be done stretching at the end of the week and hopefully be 20" away =]. I moved Tilly to the front and shes got all of the 600 Watts on her and she's loving it and Ashley is in the middle still stretching quite beautifully even though she's short, she's got the focus of both lights now so I'm going to love to see the improvement in the following days. I've lowered the 600 Watt light down quite a bit since Tilly's the shortest one compared to the other two but still 20" away. I really can't wait till week 2 is over and week 3 so I can see budlets form. Super excited. I've notice they are completely taking more water now because I was wondering why they were drooping a few days ago and appeared quite wrinkled which was really scary. But after a couple hours of watering, they perked right back up. They each take about 3 liters of water now instead of 1 every day. Before flowering, they were fine being watered every other day, but now they need to be watered every day with 3x as much water as I've been giving them so it's been a learning experience. Im glad I caught it early when the lights flipped on. God only knows if I wasn't around to take care of my babies 24/7, they'd probably be dead by now. But they are looking amazing, can't wait to post more photos this friday. =]

How many watts in total are you running (lights)? and what's the wattage per square foot if you don't mind me asking

The 1000w consumes 400w and the 600w consumes 120w, so total wattage is 520w actual (info from amazon.com). That's a really nice amount of juice to play with in that space!!!!
What size is the tent? Is it 4ft x 4ft floor area?

Well guys, not much longer till friday. I'll be snapping photos on friday for sure. Since I'll be defoliating one last time I'll take before and after pictures. The tallest plants are now only 18" away from the light, hoping they stop growing already because I really don't want to tie them down. Not sure if I see much of a difference except longer more prominent pistils. They're really just long as hell now. Waiting for the buds anxiously. Ashleys so short, I wonder if I'll get a decent yield out of her even though she has 4 tops, I'm hoping they'll be fat and dense. Just started the bloom nutes on them this past monday, no more grow nutes. So far they're getting Mammoth P and Bloom Nutes. Starting week 5 they will be getting those two plus Budxl so super excited for week 5 to come. Then on Week 6 and 7 is when they'll also get the boost nutes as well. Then on weeks 8 and 9, I will flush with Charlie's compost, Indonesian Bat Guano, and worm castings as a top dress soil. All organic =]

Need someones input on what these brown spots are. It’s just on courtney, it’s only in her upper leaves section, about 3 leaves have them, the bottom are clear. Thinking it’s a calcium deficiency but I’m not sure.

Agree it does look like calcium, it's possible there is calcium present that's locked out by a ph that is too low.
If the ph has dipped to low 6s or less then even if available in the medium, uptake of calcium and several other micros will be inhibited ("lock out") ?
If you've got a ph meter check the run off ph and ph of the liquids your giving ie ph in and ph out readings to see what's happening

Ah I dont have a ph meter, what is another way of fixing it. I’m not even sure if the stuff I’m giving the plants have calcium in them. Should I buy calmag? Or is it just a ph problem and should i check the ph of the water I’m giving them now?. The ph shouldn’t have changed since day 1 since I’ve been giving them the same distilled water. Unless the nutrients or mammoth p have changed the ph without me knowing.

Yes this. ph can drift over time as you add nutrient solutions to your medium some of which have quite high or quite low ph's, adding a couple of tablespoons of dolomite lime per pot can help stabilise ph so bear that in mind for your next soil mix.
If I was going to guess I'd lean towards ph but without the means to test it's guess work. A cheap yellow ph pen is definitely worth the money.

Yes around that number 6.5-7
Dolomite lime needs to be added/incorporated in to the soil mix, you could now add some to the top of the pots but this won't be as effective.
Testing your ph will tell you which way your pots are swinging, often in soil based mediums it's downwards (but deopends on ferts etc used and water ph) so if that was the case you would only need to buy ph up.
