Temps much better by moving the fan.
Looking great @InternationalBeanSmuggler!
The soil mix still looks a tad heavy (needs much more perlite next run) so give them plenty of time between waterings, you need to wait for some time for the seedlings to grow into those large pots so let the roots really search for the moisture over the next two weeks. Make them work for it.
Ideally your compost would look more like this, although the pic shows more than necessary you get the idea
Using vermiculite is important in bringing the soil together like a sponge improving the soil structure, it really helps eliminate the wet at the bottom dry at the top thing and gives a more even moisture level throughout the medium and stops your medium drying too quickly when using high levels of perlite.
As a general rule of thumb go for around 25%-30% perlite and 15% vermiculite in your mix.
Might be worth considering one of these
Very useful for taking the guess work out of watering when you're using deep pots.
I'm looking forward to seeing the tent choc full of nice buds in a few months
Ordered the water / ph meter. Thanks. I will look at some vermiculite.
The Cali Orange almost immediately responded to the extra Mars 300W !
Cool beans @InternationalBeanSmuggler
Can you temporarily move the thermometer next to the plant and see if the reading is high?
Make sure you give them a few hours of darkness a day during the warmest part of the day so the diodes and the plants get some down time
Thanks. The 3rd x 300 W arrived . I will go rig them all up soon to the top of the tent. I started flowering already yesterday too.
I will try get them up as high as possible.
Thanks for the tip on the diodes and temps , will take a pic soon with the 3 x 300W rigged and see what we have.
Sounds good, I'm looking forward to seeing how bright it is with 3 units in there
3 lights is insane cool shit @InternationalBeanSmuggler
thats bright as mate looks wicked
Looking great @InternationalBeanSmuggler
Nice job on hanging the lights!
Which model tent is that one ?
Its a le jardin DP90.
How are the temps with all the lights running? All good?
READING 30 C. Looking ok so far. They are flipped to 12/12 now.
They seem to be loving the light not the soil.
How are you finding the felt pots? They look good quality from the pics
Thanks. Yes great quality but you pay for it not cheap. Just under 30 GBP for 10 however very nice bags.
The seedlings im making them really work for the moisture as you said to. They are responding fine. Im suprised how much they are reaching up towards the lights they LOVE the 3 x 300 W. Where im running the lights at night only im keeping the temps in limits. These will further cool a degree or two with the rvk fitted and scrubber.
Any info on how to wire this up ?
Im especially interested in the strain Nordes from Spain. I will raise my fan and put two more cloth pots in .
Prob one Nordes and 1 Jamaican as i started a thread and the cocc pellets fucked them as they were bone dry and the compost wet. Poor quality coco didnt absorb moisture at all. Things died from lack of moisture in wet pots ... great !
Do you have any wiring diagrams for setting up the RVK ?
Thanks for your interest in my grow.
I haven't come across the Nordes before, what info do you have on this strain?
