It's a F1 cross, so will have a bit of different phenos. But yes it will have lots of fast finishing in the genotype.

Few plants of the purp punch autos buds were very dark, almost black, as well

Photoperiod is when the plant goes to flower by how much light it's receiving. Usually 18/6 hrs will keep a plant in a vegetative state (growing) and when light gets to a 12/12 it will start to flower.

Autoflower (ruderalis) does not depend on the light it receives to determine when to flower but is based on time, in the wild these are found in more northern latitudes with long daylight hrs. Usually after a seed is germinated, it takes roughly a month until the plant will go into flower. These plants tend to be a little smaller and may not produce as much bud as photoperiod. Because of this most people growing autoflowers will leave them under 20/4 or even straight 24 hr lighting to get the most out of them.

This cross is a mix of both, so will shorten the flowering time. But because it's an F1 there will be very few true autoflowers (10-25%). Punnett square would explain this better.

Thanks for the reply. So how do you grow them? With 24hr light just in case or do you have to switch them sometimes to 12/12?

I’m looking forward to running these beauts, especially the one that you say is almost black haven’t ran autos for a minute. Picked up an oz of what they called double dragon at the local dispo. It’s supposedly an auto and I must say it was some of the best cannabis I’ve had in awhile.

One of the mother plants was basically black. You'll still get variation because of the F1 but there should be some gems in there. Bad picture but shows how dark the buds were.
