Fox Farm and General Hydroponics liquid trio packs are close in price (General being about $32, and Fox for about $45). I'm gonna go with General for price, and I read awesome reviews. And personally do not see much difference in the two, or the more expensive mixes, except for the ones containing microbes. Going General Hydro trio.

Yeah I have used both and personally I like the GH trio more overall. I haven't grown in soil, but I would imagine fox farm might be better for that but due to its mud like texture it can be bad for hydro setups. I got slightly more ph swings with fox farm as well.

Thank you. Yeah GH is sounding good enough for now. Maybe I'll upgrade once I get some personal knowledge.
Cheers

I used GH trio for a long time with good results. Then I wanted something easier, so I switched to GH MaxiGro/MaxiBloom dry nutes. My plants seem to like it.
I like easy though 🤓 might have to look into those as well. Worst I can do is have to start over. And I know from Mushrooms, that'll happen.......🤙

Not to mention a different type but I have switched to the Blue Max 2 part. It is more concentrated and about the same price. I like it the most personally.

Maybe I'll upgrade once.....
Salt nutes all have the same salt compounds made by big chemical manufacturers. GH, FoxFarm, Jack's, Scott's Miracle Grow, etc they all just buy them and blend them together or buy them already blended by the manufacturer and relabel them. All the synthetic cannabis-specific nutrient lines with 10 different additives are just marketing hype to get your money..... IMHO anyway.

Just look at what is in the blend you will use to be sure it covers all the required macro and micro nutrients.

If you are using RO water, then you'll need to supplement CalMag. If you're using tap water, it should have enough CalMag between the water supply and what is in the GH nutrient mix.

Test your water supply pH and TDS/EC. My water is 7.9pH and 200ppm TDS. My plants do fine with that. I use ascorbic acid (vitamin C) for pH down purchased in 2lb containers on Amazon. After I make the mix, I use it to drop the pH to 6.2 to 6.6 range. That takes about 2 teaspoons ascorbic per 5 gal of nutrient mix.

My brain is for absorbing all this......... Now I just gotta try and get it going, see what works, what doesn't and keep moving.

I grow in dirt in pots inside and in the ground outside during the summer. I use dirt from around the hay rings ( rotted hay and cow manure) in the pots. I live on a cattle farm. Anyway I was having some problems with ph so I started using “PH Perfect” 3 part solution in dirt. It solved my ph and the plants seem to like it.
