Question Is it safe to cut lower branches a few weeks into budding

I have seen videos of people cutting off lower branches but I'm not sure if this is safe to do after flowering has started. I have nice size buds already but would like the tops to fill out

Yes it's okay. Use a clean sanitized cutting tool that makes clean cuts.

I trim off lower growth that I expect will only produce little fluff nugs that I don't care to deal with.

With my training methods anything that is shorter than the middle of the plant gets cut, at(or around) day 21.

When it come closer to the end of harverst, I start cutting off everything small and under the best colas. I also take out all inbetween flowers. They suck away energy from the main colas.
