Good evening all.... brand new here and a brand new grower to anything at all. Looking to get some kinda seeds going and asking for the help of this fine community. Cultivar really doesn't matter, but would prefer something for a indoor grow and feminized. Appreciate you taking the time to read πŸŒ±πŸŒ±πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»πŸŒ±πŸŒ±

Genetics is 2/3 of the game. By starting with great genetics your finished bud will be good. But if you start with weak genetics you will never get good weed from that plant. And typically from a site like this less than 20% of the seeds are worth growing.

What @Sativa Kid says ^^^ is true. I know the lineage on the beans I offer for share/trade because I bought the sealed packs directly from the source, and I selected the phenos, but like my post says...my beans are from my 2021 harvest, and I haven't tested them. However, I do expect there are some interesting gems to be found in there, but you don't know me from the next random username on the interwebs.

I have several lifetimes worth of beans in my library, but I still like to select a male each season to chuck some pollen in early flower and make some beans. I end up with plenty of extras, so I like to trade and/or share them out freely. I'm glad I found this site for that reason.

But if you want guaranteed good stuff, you've got to throw down on sealed packs from reputable breeders or get a known good clone from a verifiable source.

Story Time!
Hello I just wanted to share how I got into growing which should shed some light on this issue that has come up.
A good friend decided one day to grow all of the bag seeds he had saved up over the years.
Ya! I am not sure why we save all the bag seeds, especially of the mid grade flower seeds.
Maybe I am just a seed whore...πŸ˜‰

So my friend did the old paper towel germination method. Being a first timer and the age of the seeds the germination rate was fair at best. The sprouted seeds went into red dixie cups. He had not read anything about growing and just thought they would grow. Don't forget to cut ventilation/drain holes before planting in the cups.

There were about 20+ dixie cups that had plants that had their cotyledon showing. A few might have had their first nodes showing. Needless to say over a few days there were only 5 plants that were alive.

By this time, I realized that if I wanted to see him succeed with his grow I had better start reading on how to keep these things alive. So I purchased a book on how to grow cannabis and started talking to other friends that were growing. Needles to say 4 of the 5 plants survived and made it all the way through flower.

Yes, this was both of our first times and the bud was straight up mids. The good news is over time we had cloned the originals and got them to produce some decent flower (not great). We thought we were the :poop: now. We were growing our own cannabis .

Some things I learned from what turned out to be my 1st grow was:
1) Do not spend big πŸ’΅ on your first seeds. (Make sure you can actually grow the plant first with inexpensive or free/bag seeds)
2) If you are growing indoors, don't spend big πŸ’΅ on grow lights. Trust me you can grow with a 6000K or higher led shop light from Sams home depot etc.. for $20. If you were able to grow with a cheap light you can then spend the big πŸ’΅ on a real grow light later.
3) Important: You can watch videos on the Inter-Webs now on how to grow cannabis. I also have a few books for reference. I would suggest doing an internet search for "How to grow Marijuana Everything you need to know"
4) Do your research on curing cannabis. You can spend months on growing high quality cannabis only to have it turn to πŸ’© if you don't cure it correctly. Growing is a process from the start to the consumption of your hard work. Any errors in the process will reduce the quality/yield of your hard work.
5) After a few productive grows (they don't have to be spectacular) under your belt and you are comfortable with your ability spend the money on some good genetics. Your fist grow with quality genetics might not be as good as they can be but you will definitely notice the difference. It will definitely put the 😍 in your . Ok maybe not that drastic but you get the drift..

Ok with all of that said I can only speak of my personal experiences on FreeCannabis.com. I have purchased and traded with a few people on here and have only had the space/time to grow a few seeds from them thus far. I have a Docs's OG cross from BrotherRandall that I currently have growing. It is growing right next to a Rare Dankness Doc's OG that I had spent big πŸ’΅ on. You can tell 100% that BrotherRandall's cross is a rare dankness cross due to structure, growth, and even leaf and stem colors, texture, smell. For you that have not tried Doc's OG, due yourselves a favor and get you some Doc's OG. You will be happy you did.
Ok with that said I also have 3 (Kong X Poundcake) aka (LPC X Guptilla) in Veg from BrotherRandall . There are 3 different Pheno's. I am definitely showing more love to my tight node plant. My personal preference. So far this plant is looking very promising and the aromas and structure are great.

I also have a 3 different strains from Geechijesus in Veg. If the buds turn out anything like the genetics have expressed so far I will be running clones and breeding for seeds with the plants that I have selected from this batch. If the bud smokes well it will even make it to my outside grow. Fingers crossed as these are MAC crosses.

Thanks for reading my rant and a big thanks to BrotherRandall, Geechijesus for some promising high quality genetics.
To all the members that I have traded seeds with give me time and I will do write ups if and when I can get some time/space to run the seeds you have spent much time and love in creating.

With that, I hope all of you have a Prosperous New Year and be safe out there.

^^^Truth. You might as well mess around and learn by fudging some free gifts from here before you go drop cash on high end stuff. Who knows? If you can keep these first beans alive, you might find something decent in there.

Yes I guess a trial run is frugal. But after learning the basics it's time to go big time with good strains.
