Question Getting back into growing; what did I miss?

I've got a runtz muffin, a sweet cheese, 3 apple Betty, a purple lemonade, 4 sweet afghan delicious, a candy kush and 2 gg4. I'm going to actually go with a scrog this grow, I will install when I know where I want my plants to be.

So as a general update I saw a small decrease in temps when I installed the much bigger exhaust fan and switched the smaller one to an intake. Not really as much as I expected so I was left scratching my head. In the end I decided to stop extracting to the outside and try extracting into the lung room which seems to work even better. From what I understand I had possibly created a pressure differential/vacuum in my house causing it to draw in the summer heat.

I noticed that after watering the heat in the tent goes down by a massive factor and I'm wondering if I could water more or more often? Some are bigger than others but I started with giving them a third to half a quart of water every other day, to now the biggest getting slightly more than a quart every other day, and the smaller ones getting half to three quarters a quart every other day.

Hope everyone is doing well and thanks for any replies. I don't know brother Randall but I'm always glad to hear someone is doing well and I'm happy for those of you who have missed him.

Probably shouldnt water anymore than I already am, they still feel wet. Also the temps in the pic are higher than usual. I ran the light higher than I ever have today and the heat accumulated over a long day

Update pics from today. I think my light was angled to the right so I tried to level it.

I changed cooling so I can run the light at max and predictably ended up with light burning. So I got a ppfd app on my phone and turned the light down from 2kish micro moles to 700 on the edge and about 900 or so in the middle. Maybe that's still too high we shall see. I also shuffled the plants around.

Oh I went and read more about ppfd, micro moles and dli, and turned my dimmer to 57 percent. The highest dli is around 70 now with the sides being around 40s.

I didn't fully understand the point of the dimmer but now I get it. Full power is waaaay too much.

Yea. I definitely learned that the hard way through trial and error. I’m running at 60% right now. I’m slowly increasing intensity and have to keep my distance from the light farther than light instructions recommend. I’m not using any measuring instruments. My plants are telling me what they can handle and what is too much by closely monitoring their reactions.

I'll figure it out, I'm still learning every day. They'll slow down a bit but it's not the end of the world. They already smell nice and the carbon filter is doing a great job of getting rid of odor! I'm excited haha

Hey all, flood of update pics incoming. I've been doing a small amount of leaf tucking and I've supercropped all but the short ones at this point. I can't wait to get the scrog going! I'm gonna need alot of clearance under the screen for such a deep tent though.

I've been watering two quarts every three days and that seems mostly sufficient. They dry up and droop for 12 or so hours before watering but I figure they're stretching their roots, especially since the last 6 of those 12 hours are dark time for them. Am I wrong in not wanting to water before a dark cycle? I want them to stretch and search for water and get oxygen etc but if they're already wet I don't know if they'll care about doing that.

Anyways they're doing me proud. Today is a no cooling except for intake and extraction day because I watered this morning. I don't do air cooling on watering days because it'll get TOO cool and I don't want the root zone to get so cool because the temp fluctuations seem to cause root shock.

Anyways they're hitting their stride. Especially since I uuuh... might've snapped one of them during a super crop and had to apply medical tape because I couldn't find the duct tape lol can anyone guess which one got snapped?
