Hey, Canadian basement grower in Autopots using a Promix / peat based soil mix with Perlite and a few other goodies. I use General Hydroponics nutrients. My last crop was very successful regardless of a bad start. I grew some beauties. I'm old, 73, and have been at this a long time, since I retired growing weed and learning about it is all I do. I've learned there are10,001 and more ways to grow weed.I've known hundreds of growers and no 2 of us grow exactly the same way. So this my way or the hiway theme doesn't cut it with me. That being said if you grow my way I can help....lol.....My method can bleed into others styles but talk about growing in Coco and I'm lost. These are a couple pics from my last crop with a Zamal Dreams, An Alaska Thunderfuck and a Grape Skunk with twin Buds and my new crop about 1 month old ready to be flipped IMG_9274.JPGNov 5 Zamal Dreams P2 hand.JPGOct 26 ATF4.JPGNov 25 new crop.JPGwith more Zamal Dreams and some Strawberry Purps

Welcome, glad to have you here. I have not been here in a while, so I don't know what happened since then. I love strawberry terps, in fact one of my favorite strains is White Strawberry Skunk. I would love to see how your Strawberry Purple turns out.
This will be my first Strawberry of any kind, Seeds were gifted to me from QCSeeds on an order. One of my favorite strains came from them QCblue, QblueAb.JPG

Those plants look perfect that's why I think I need a tent for indoor. I always get pest as my plants start to mature and of course airy buds which I don't mind as long as the potency and terpenes are present. Are those autos also?
Hey thanks, no I don't grow auto's no reason to for me. My last crop was accidentally flipped 25 days in veg and I harvested one of my best crops ever. I normally flip around 6 weeks and grow myself out of space. 25 days maybe a bit early but I doubt I'll go longer than 4-5 weeks now. I've been growing indoor cannabis 30+ years and learned last grow I've been vegging far too long all along.

Your 30 years' experience is evident in the photos you just uploaded; I have never grown anything as beautiful as what you showed. I have only been growing 5 years off and on cause sometimes my work schedule won't allow me to even think about plants. I remember damping off and killing so many good genetics when I first started. Wish I knew then what I know now.

Hey, its the autopots. 95% them 5% me. Once you find the feed needed they grow to their potential. I use General Hydroponics 3 part plus a bunch of other stuff in the GH line ....and.....I use this graph....its 4% of my above 5..lol ....In flower this is the bomb for me. it shows what and when needed. I use Promix/Perlite + a few goodies in Veg just promix and Perlite when transplanted into the autopots. I adjust my feed and lights according to this graph but I stretch it to 10 weeks as all of my plants go at least that long.

Graph isn't good for veg obviously

I'm from the Caribbean bro. Importing those alone will triple or quadruple the price. Imagine trying to buy a complete indoor setup, things are ridiculous over here.
Look into DWC then, I'd think you could source parts locally. Deep Water Culture. It sound intimidating but its just nutrients cycled through duct work, a pump or two, air stones, tank, filters. I've never done it I'm just spitballing here but it would be my next go to grow style.

Air Stones? so its hydro or are you using coco coir?
No I use peat based soils. Coco has Ph issues Promix type soils don't. I don't need to ph my input liquids where as in coco it likes a lower ph 5.5-6 I think, I know not really but it needs adjusting to be in the proper ph range.......and I'm an old dog too old to learn a new medium...stubborn too.

Ok now I understand your set up. I can DIY for cheap, but I will still need to buy at least a decent grow tent kit first. I will get one eventually but those things are really expensive here.

Some very nice work you have there pipecarver👍 keep up the good work
Thank you, its all I do,, long retired, I now just grow, smoke and learn about growing pot, Long struggle but the AP's simplified it all and I've added a few additives over the years that have really bumped my plants.

If you know the General Hydroponics 3 part of Micro, Grow, Bloom. I added Flurolicious Plus and I liked what it did so I kept adding when needed. I then added KoolBloom Liquid and it hardened and swelled my buds, I then added KoolBloom dry when needed and that did another bump in size. I was I'd been getting yellowing of my leaves starting around week 3 in flower I started adding Epsom Salts for Mag in Veg the switching to Cal/mag in flower as that graph above shows. Gone are my yellow leaves until I start dropping my feed t'words finishing.

I then started fking with the soil my Promix/perlite mix I added Gypsum, Azomite,Myco's Worm Castings and new this run is Yucca powder to help draw the water up from the trays in the AP's.

I also play with lights, Far Reds bars, Deep Reds Pucks .450nm Blues booster bars with a Green led light I run with all lights on along with the Ion Beam side lights in a 5x5..

Its nice to have a rewarding hobby.
